The Parish Pastor
Pastor Fatai Kasali was born to a muslim family in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He went to an Islamic school in his early years before he gave his life to Christ. The first time he attended a church service was in 1984; secretly without his family’s knowledge. Prior to this time, he developed a keen interest in Christianity based on the knowledge he was able to acquire from bible based religious studies in school. He discovered that the more he learnt about the story of Jesus, the more he was out off by his Islamic teachings; however, he was unable to openly discuss this interest with his family due to their strong beliefs in Islam.
He continued to attend church services secretly since his first attendance in 1984. He met Jesus and gave his life to Christ in a church called Gospel Faith Mission but later joined the Christ Apostolic Church. He was baptised with water in the Spring of Salvation Church where he rose to the position of a Sunday School Bible Teacher.
